This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your SkinMama account and what happens to your data when you do. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

1) How to Delete Your Account#
A) In-App Deletion (Primary Method)
You can delete your account directly inside the app:
- Open SkinMama
- Go to Profile / Settings
- Select Delete Account
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm deletion
Once confirmed, your account deletion request is processed by the system.
B) Deletion by Email (If You Cannot Access the App)
If you cannot access the app (for example, you lost access to your device or account), you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email from the address associated with your SkinMama account to: support@skinmama.app
- Subject: “SkinMama Account Deletion Request”
- Include: your account email and any identifying details needed to locate the account
We may ask for additional verification to confirm you are the account owner before deleting the account.
2) What Gets Deleted#
When your account is deleted, we delete the following from our production systems:
- Your account profile information (such as name and email)
- Your scan history, including uploaded/captured facial/skin images
- Derived analysis results, indicators, and scores
- Your routines and recommendations stored in your account
- Your forum content associated with your account (posts/comments/reactions), to the extent supported by the Services and applicable law
Deletion is intended to remove your personal data and scan history from our production environment.
3) Public Forum Content and Visibility#
The forum is public within the Services. If you posted content publicly, other users may have already copied, screenshot, reshared, or referenced it outside SkinMama.
Account deletion removes your access and deletes data from our production systems, but it cannot guarantee removal of copies made by other users or content that has been shared outside the Services.
4) Irreversibility#
Account deletion is permanent. After deletion:
- You will lose access to your account
- Your scan history and related personal data cannot be restored
5) Processing Time#
- In-app deletion: typically processed immediately or within a reasonable period depending on system conditions.
- Email deletion: typically processed after verification, within a reasonable period.
6) Limited Retention (Legal / Safety)#
Even after account deletion, we may retain limited information only if necessary for:
- Legal compliance (e.g., responding to lawful requests)
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention
- Enforcement of our Terms (e.g., records related to serious policy violations)
- Handling disputes or chargeback-related issues (if applicable)
Any retained data is restricted and not used to provide active Services to you.
7) Changes to This Policy#
We may update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice for material changes where required.
